ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Bryan Harr was smiling, lifting up Tammy, one of hundreds of turkeys the family farm raises each year for Thanksgiving dinners. Quite, calm and content -- she’s been coming to Soulard Market every Saturday for weeks.

But, for many St. Louis families -- a Harr turkey is a Thanksgiving tradition.

“Thanksgiving is a nostalgic moment because I was always here working with my dad,” Bryan said about the holiday. “My dad taught me how to raise these and to do it the farm way.”

Don’t worry, Harr says that after her appearance on TV, Tammy will retire to the farm and live a life of turkey luxury.

Which, before her TV appearance, sounded pretty nice -- Harr says the flock is able to live free-range on the farm. There’s also a 25,000-square-foot outside enclosur
