ROCHESTER, Minn. - Thursday is the Salvation Army's Thanksgiving Day meal and the finishing touches were done on Wednesday.

For weeks now, the staff and volunteers have been working hard to order food, prepare it, and to make it perfect. The day before the big meal has a focus on side dishes, like green beans, and deboning the turkey.

For the past couple of years, Scheels has helped out by sponsoring the meal. Which includes a full traditional Thanksgiving feast of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and pies. With the expectation of about 150-200 people showing up, 20 turkeys were prepared, which is equal to 300 pounds.
