LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - More than 175 young adults aged out of the Nebraska child welfare system with no permanent support during the 2025 fiscal year, according to the latest quarterly report form the state Foster Care Review Office .
That means a total of 179 children were unable to be reunited with their families, adopted out, or placed into guardianships before they aged out of the purview of the Division of Children and Family Services at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services during a year’s time, the report states.
