Southern has found its next football coach.

The university is going to hire NFL legend and Colorado running backs coach Marshall Faulk as its 22nd head coach, according to a report by Jordan Schultz.

Faulk has agreed to a three-year deal with an option for an additional season, Schultz reports.

This will be Faulk’s first time leading a program after getting into coaching this year as the running backs coach for Deion Sanders at Colorado.

Faulk, 52, was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2011 after a 12-year career, notching 12,279 rushing yards, 6,875 receiving yards and 136 total touchdowns.
