BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Following a contentious election, Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin is focused on prioritizing the needs of Birmingham residents. He was inaugurated for his third term after securing 75% of the vote in a crowded field of challengers .
"I think the residents of our city, the voters spoke; I think that means we've built trust and built a track record," Woodfin said.
"I think every day we walk into city hall for the last eight years, it's really been about putting people first. This job requires humility and urgency. When you put yourself in the shoes of our residents, you show up for 'em," he said.
With a clear mandate, Woodfin has made key changes in his administration, adjusting staffing roles to focus on aging infrastructure, customer service, and public safety.
