The City of Soddy-Daisy is gearing up for its annual Christmas Parade, set for Sunday, December 7.

The parade begins at 2:00pm and will follow its usual route along Dayton Pike from Harrison Lane to Sequoyah Road. This year’s Grand Marshall is Marquita Brackett, a more than 40-year employee of the City of Soddy-Daisy.

Spectators can expect festive floats, marching bands, dancers, decorated vehicles, and, if the holiday spirit is just right, a visit from Santa Claus. Floats created by local churches, businesses, and community groups will compete for first-place trophies in several categories. To be judged, each float must display an American flag.

Volunteers with the local Vietnam Veterans of America chapter will arrive early to help coordinate the lineup and ensure a smooth parade order
