UPDATE: EPB officially launched the holiday season tonight with the unveiling of its 2025 Holiday Windows, a cinematic, Christmas-themed display illuminating downtown Chattanooga. This year’s theme, “Snowflakes and Silver Screens,” transforms scenes from beloved holiday movies into handcrafted window installations inspired by favorites such as A Christmas Story, The Polar Express, Home Alone, The Grinch, and It’s a Wonderful Life.

The two large displays, located at Market and MLK and Broad and MLK, feature nods to nearly 30 films. EPB employees built and painted each element by hand, creating hundreds of custom pieces. Highlights include Home Alone’s McCallister house with shingles made from old power poles, an overloaded meter box reminiscent of the Griswold home in National Lamp
