Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Wayne Walters said the board of director’s decision Tuesday to vote against a plan to close schools would have a substantial financial impact on the district.
Still, he signaled a willingness to work with the school board and other stakeholders to move forward in a way that ensures stability for students, families and staff.
In a letter to the community Wednesday, Mr. Walters said that the challenges facing the district remain the same as before the vote.
