ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -As family and friends prepare to gather for the Thanksgiving holiday, local police departments are on the lookout for those choosing to drive impaired.
The night before Thanksgiving is often considered one of the booziest holidays of the year--a fact local police departments are well aware of.
“We’re very aware of what happens when that social norm of having fun on Friendsgiving or Blackout Wednesday...what that can lead to,” said Officer Zachary Koch of the St. Charles County Police Department. “We’re familiar with going to crashes where people are injured, they may have life changing injuries or life ending injuries.”
As a result, St. Charles County Police is one of several local departments with plans to have extra patrols on the road Wednesday night,
