Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk is joining the long list of NFL greats to try his hand at college football head coaching.
Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Marshall Faulk has been hired as the new head coach of HBCU Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Los Angeles Rams legend agreed to a three-year deal, Schultz reported.
In February, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders hired Faulk to serve as the club’s running backs coach. The Faulk hiring came one year after fellow Pro Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was brought in by the Buffs as a senior quality control analyst, before getting promoted to pass rush coordinator this year.
