A third suspect is in custody in connection with a horrific child abuse and torture case in Pontiac.

Carlos Bazan-Hernandez, 24, is the older brother of a 9-year-old boy and 11-year-old boy who investigators say were starved and abused.

Bazan-Hernandez was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Waterford Township.

He's accused of acting as the disciplinarian for the boys, who investigators say were not allowed to leave their bedroom. Bazan-Hernandez is facing two counts each of first-degree child abuse and child torture charges.

Bazan-Hernandezs father, Auturo Bazan-Perez, 43, and his wife, Dulce Crystal Bazan Castillo, 42, were previously charged with multiple counts of first-degree child abuse and torture. The couple could face life in prison.
