After a mild Wednesday evening, temperatures are expected to plunge in Massachusetts as a cold front moves into the region.

Strong winds are blowing in a cold front between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., clearing out moisture and bringing clearer skies for Thanksgiving morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds could reach up to 20 to 25 mph overnight.

Thanksgiving Day will be sunny, but significantly colder than Wednesday.

Temperature highs will struggle to reach the mid-40s across Massachusetts, with winds at 25 to 35 mph, making it feel even colder.

The cold is expected to stay for a few days as temperatures will only reach the 30s to low 40s on Friday and Saturday across Massachusetts.
