HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The end of a First Alert wind weather day saw gusts hang onto 35 miles per hour in the hills until late Wednesday evening. Those winds became progressively chillier as temperatures fell into the 30s by 9 p.m.
While the gusts will be more subdued overnight and Thanksgiving Day, there will still be a healthy breath of air for hunters (west at 10-20 mph), Turkey Trotters and QBs at Dunbar Middle for the 77th Commode Bowl. With partly cloudy skies highs will get close to 40.
Black Friday (the big shopping day, so they say) will sport a cold feel with sun and highs in the upper 30s.
Saturday will remain dry and chilly with clouds gathering by afternoon-night. Sunday will dawn with a period of light rain. Rain could briefly freeze if temperatures make it down to 32
