The Cumberland Board of Elections is dedicated to the integrity of the elections process in our community. We respect the public interest in the work we do, as we continuously look for ways to improve our elections process. Most recently we successfully conducted 27 separate elections contests in our nine cities and towns.

When I was appointed to serve as chair of our board by State Auditor Dave Boliek, I was charged with leading, by conducting fair, accessible, transparent and accurate elections. Along with my colleagues, we are committed to ensure that all of our training methods, early voting plans, election day procedures, and ballot counting methods are transparent and follow North Carolina law. That is our job, to check and double check, to ensure confidence in election results.
