ROCHESTER – Rochester United turned things around in the second period by scoring six unanswered goals, then held off a late charge to defeat the Stoney Creek Cougars 7-5 in the annual Thanksgiving Eve showdown.

Trailing 3-1 after the first period, Rochester United got everything going in the middle frame. United got two early goals during a four-on-four situation to tie the game, then rolled up four more for to build a four-goal lead, making it 7-3 by the end of the period.
