For Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, November had a ton of highs and lows. Earlier this month, his house burned down to the ground. He was spotted in the scene with a look of disbelief. The only silver lining is that nobody was hurt in the incident.
But with every downfall, there will always be some sort of promise ahead. Life goes from zero to a hundred in a flash, they say. After the Heat won their NBA Cup matchup against the ailing Bucks, Coach Spo reached another milestone in his coaching career: winning 800 games.
The unsuspecting coach headed inside the locker room expecting to give out a speech, but was doused with water by his players instead.
Winning 800 games as a head coach in the NBA is no small feat. Coach Spo has been the man on the sideline for this team since 2008.
