KENNEWICK, Wash. – Kennewick School District (KSD) has welcomed Tom Croskrey, known as "Mr. Tom," as the new school safety officer at Lincoln Elementary School, KSD announced.
Croskrey brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, including service in the Air Force, Richland Police Department and Benton County Sheriff's Office.
With a personal connection to the district through his grandchildren, Croskrey said the transition to working in schools was an easy choice.
"I wanted to be part of the grade school system and support security," he said. "The staff here has been awesome and very welcoming. The best part has been meeting the kids and hearing all their stories."
