TARZANA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three people were taken into custody after California Highway Patrol officers performed two PIT maneuvers to end a chaotic chase through the San Fernando Valley Wednesday night.

The chase ended just after 11:10 p.m. near the area of Garden Grove and Doman avenues in Tarzana.

One of the CHP vehicles involved in the pursuit performed the PIT maneuvers in quick succession after the fleeing driver made a left turn in a residential neighborhood.

The second PIT maneuver forced the suspects to stop and abandon their car.

A driver and two passengers emerged from the car and fled on foot through the neighborhood in a desperate attempt to escape capture. All three suspects were eventually taken into custody after the foot chase.
