RAPID CITY — Dakota Valley is back on top of South Dakota Class A volleyball.
The top-seeded Panthers (34-3) survived a tight battle with defending champion Dell Rapids to post a 3-1 win in the title match of the state tournament on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at The Monument in Rapid City.
Dakota Valley eventually prevailed 26-24, 26-24, 24-26, 25-22 and beat Dell Rapids (29-7) for the third time this season.
Claire Munch smacked 26 kills and also had 13 digs to lead the way for the Panthers. Her sister Madie added 40 assists. Samantha Kimbell also made 13 digs and Coryn Kimbell and Aubree Worden 11 apiece.
Madelynn Henry (22 kills, five aces and eight digs) and Sylea Sykes (12 kills and eight digs) paced Dell Rapids. Tenley Anderson contributed 40 assists and 14 digs, Alaina Wolff 1
