Next April's East Anglian derby at Carrow Road could be moved to a Friday night, it has emerged.
Ipswich Town are due to travel to Norwich City for the second derby of the season - having finally beaten the Canaries for the first time in 16 years last month - at 3pm on Saturday, April 11th.
But Norfolk police has approached the two clubs and the EFL about potentially moving the fixture to the evening of April 10.
With Network Rail due to be carrying out engineering work on the railway line between Ipswich and Norwich that weekend, it is understood that police are worried that, with train services disrupted, more fans will arrive by car - making it harder to police them.
Talks between the clubs, the police and the EFL are under way.
