HILO — Hilo boys basketball was an average basketball team last year, posting a 9-11 overall record and just above .500 in league play at 8-7. The Vikings made the BIIF playoffs but lost in the opening round to eventual champions, Kamehameha-Hawaii, by a wide margin.
