Washington, D.C.’s mayor calls the shooting of two West Virginia National Guard personnel a targeted attack.

Both were critically wounded, blocks from the White House.

A 29-year-old man from Afghanistan was also wounded and is in custody.

He entered the U.S. under a Biden Administration program after American forces left Afghanistan.

President Donald Trump said 500 more National Guard members will be sent to Washington.

He also called for a reinvestigation of Afghans who entered the country while Biden was president.
