A man has been taken to hospital with broken legs and a dislocated shoulder after he was hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to the A174 Brotton Road, between Brotton and Carlin How, after a crash at around 5.30pm, on Wednesday.
Police and paramedics both attended the scene, and the road was closed for around an hour.
A pedestrian, a 40-year-old man, was taken to James Cook University Hospital with injuries including broken legs and a dislocated shoulder.
He remains in hospital.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "A 40-year-old man suffered injuries, including broken legs and a dislocated shoulder, following a collision with a Ford Fiesta on Brotton Road around 5.35pm on Wednesday, November 26.
