CDOT awarded money to replace RFTA buses

Colorado U.S. Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper have announced that 13 Colorado projects will receive more than $60 million in grants from the the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Buses and Bus Facilities Program and Low- or No-Emission Program for fiscal year 2025-26.

The investments are part of $1.5 billion in national funding from the two programs through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Bennet and Hickenlooper sent letters to the federal transportation department in support of a number of the projects that were awarded grant money, according to a joint news release from both senators.
