NFL football has long been synonymous with Thanksgiving. In recent years, the halftime shows across the league have become a bigger part of the entertainment.

This year, the Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens have landed a trio of impressive headliners for their Thanksgiving games. The Lions will have Detroit-born rocker Jack White perform at their game against the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, Dallas landed Post Malone – a rapper and big-time Cowboys fan – to lead its entertainment.

And to cap the day off, the Ravens will have famed rapper and producer Lil Jon perform at M&T Bank Stadium.

While NFL fans will be able to easily watch the Jack White and Post Malone shows as part of the Fox and CBS Thanksgiving broadcasts, it won't be as easy to catch Lil Jon's performance. That's due to NBC's plans for its yearly Thanksgiving night broadcast.

Where to watch Lil Jon halftime performance

NBC is not planning to show Lil Jon's halftime performance in its entirety. The network will instead show a brief highlight of the concert as part of its halftime show.

This aligns with the format of NBC's other halftime presentations since the network became a staple of the NFL's Thanksgiving Day tripleheader in 2013. Each year, NBC has presented an in-depth, human-interest feature during the halftime show, typically followed by a brief clip of the in-stadium performance.

For example, in 2024, NBC aired a feature on Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold's origins as a Green Bay native and adoptee as the Dolphins traveled to Green Bay to face the Packers. The network then showed a brief highlight of violinist Lindsey Stirling's halftime show before cutting to a commercial.

This year, NBC's halftime feature will be a tribute to John Madden's coaching legacy. It will be narrated by Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and will also feature interviews with Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs, Hall of Fame offensive tackle Art Shell and several other former Raiders players.

It isn't clear whether a full performance of Lil Jon's halftime show will air elsewhere, or if fans hoping to catch more of the concert will have to rely on social media platforms for additional highlights.
