The team that knocked the May Tigers out of the playoffs in 2024, en route to the Class A Division I state championship, awaits in Friday’s Region IV championship games, as the Gordon Longhorns eye their 42 nd win in a row.

May is coming off a 72-24 regional semifinal triumph over Medina as Lane Goodson fueled the Tiger attack with a season-high 320 rushing yards and five touchdowns and also threw for 137 yards and another score.

Kobey Morris added three scoring receptions totaling 67 yards and added an 18-yard rushing score, while Cayson Dail passed for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Mikey Scheriger tacked on 27 yards on the ground and a touchdown as well.
