We are now into the back half of the Thanksgiving storm system, which means things are changing today. The winds have shifted, and with that comes the switch-over into predominately lake-effect snow.
For most of us, this means the winds are not quite as high as they were on Wednesday. But we still have several more inches of snow expected to stack up in areas across the state today. And where that snow is meeting gusty winds, it can reduce visibility on the roads, making travel difficult.
More than 20,000 homes and businesses remained without power today after Wednesday’s high winds, most of these in the Upper Peninsula and along the Lakeshore.
