The Prestonwood Christian football team ousted two-time defending TAPPS state champion Argyle Liberty Christian in Friday’s Division I quarterfinal, going on the road and picking up a 49-34 win.
The Lions piled up 541 yards on the state’s No. 2-ranked private school team, and senior running back William Taylor III accounted for nearly half of that total – turning 28 carries into 256 rushing yards and two touchdowns to advance the Lions to the state semifinals.
