BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) - A 31-year-old Bristol man died Wednesday night after he crashed into a utility pole, according to police.

Police responded to the area of Broad Street at Todd Street for a single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole.

Officers found an unresponsive male driver inside the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Jonathan Edward Whittle, 31, of Bristol.

He was transported to Bristol Health, where he died from his injuries.

Next of kin have been located and notified, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
