An Aberdeen business leader has been remembered following her death with a new scholarship in her name.

Lynne Smith's legacy will be remembered with the new Robert Gordon University (RGU) scholarship. Through her leadership at Central Coaches and her passionate support of charities like the Denis Law Legacy Trust, Lynne opened doors for countless young people.

Lynne, who was described as a "cherished friend" and "proud honorary graduate of RGU and a deeply loved figure in the community" passed away in June 2025. The Lynne Smith Memorial Scholarship is a fund that will support young people in financial need to access higher education and build brighter futures, with the first student to benefit from the scholarship to start in September 2026.
