WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Crews battled a house fire early Thanksgiving Day.
The fire was reported just before 6:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Augusta Road.
Langley Fire Department crews arrived to find the single-story house fully ablaze.
The woods and a camper trailer also caught fire nearby, according to firefighters.
Crews had to truck in water to fight the flames.
Near 8 a.m., at least four firetrucks were still on the scene as large amounts of smoke billowed into the air. There were still flames coming out of the roof, and embers were flying.
Sheriff’s deputies were directing traffic on Augusta Road.
The home was abandoned, but it was unclear whether anyone was inside.
Crews expected to spend most of Thanksgiving Day putting out hot spots.
