This four-part mini-series, set in 1830, has been hailed as “the greatest TV of all time” after landing on the BBC earlier this year. The hit drama Miss Austen is an adaptation of a 2020 novel of the same name written by Gill Hornby. It tells the story of the relationship between acclaimed writer Jane Austen (played by Patsy Ferran) and her sister Cassandra (Keeley Hawes), focusing on Cassandra's effort to protect Jane's reputation by destroying many of her letters after her death.
