Peter Quill Trust of Quincy claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” instant ticket game.
The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
Spillane said the winner plans on using the winnings to purchase their first home.
The winning ticket was purchased at G and M Grocery, which is located at 504 Cambridge St. in Worcester. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
