TOPEKA, Kan. (KAKE) - When the new legislative session begins in January, one bill the Kansas House could take up is whether or not school should begin before Labor Day.
According to online records, House Bill 2409 would prohibit Kansas school districts from starting before the holiday. Wellington Republican Bill Rhiley prefiled the bill on November 21.
