Nick Saban has an idea for the next Penn State football coach.
And it’s a former Giants head man.
Saban, the legendary former LSU and Alabama coach, says Brian Daboll, his former offensive coordinator with the Crimson Tide, would be a great hire at the Big Ten school.
“I love Brian,” Saban said Wednesday on The Pat McAfee Show (via On3.com). “He did a great job here for us as our offensive coordinator. We won the championship with him calling the plays. He’s been in the Super Bowl several times with Bill Belichick and won.
“I think it was a tough situation with the Giants, but he’s a very good coach. He’s a bright guy, a good recruiter, relates to players, a good teacher, good offensive mind. He’ll put together a strong staff. I think that would be an outstanding hire.”
