The second West Virginia National Guard member critically wounded in a cowardly ambush by an Afhgan refugee Wednesday has been identified as a newly sworn-in soldier.
The brave guardsman was identified as 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom, US Attorney Jeanine Pirro said at a Thursday press conference.
The second guardsman was previously identified as 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe.
“Both Sarah and Andrew were sworn in less than 24 hours before they were shot on the street in Washington,” Pirro revealed.
Both have undergone surgery and are in critical condition.
They sustained the life-threatening injuries when Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, allegedly opened fire near the Farragut West Metro Station in Northwest DC in what’s being probed as a possible terrorist attack.
