It’s not exactly “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” but a modest bathroom remodel underway in Loveland’s West Shore neighborhood is changing lives all the same.
For Mary and Barry Pennucci, the finished product will mean a safer, easier way to bathe their 44-year-old son, Vincent, who was born with cerebral palsy and has gradually lost abilities he once had.
For the three Colorado State University students completing the work, the project has been an education of a different kind — one that has opened their eyes to what everyday life looks like for families who can’t move through the world in ways most of us take for granted.
