The Met Office has warned unsettled conditions will arrive in the UK next week. Low pressure systems will lead to long spells of rain as we head into the last month of the year

The forecasting agency explained there is a chance of snow but this will probably be over northern high ground.

The rain and potential snow will likely be accompanied by strong winds.

Colder conditions may encroach into northern areas. However, temperatures are predicted to be closer to average, even though it is the first week of meteorological winter
