LARAMIE — The University of Wyoming could have been preparing for its final regular season game this week before traveling to a bowl game.
Instead, it’s preparing for its last contest having already been eliminated from postseason contention.
The Cowboys extended their losing streak to three games with a frustrating 13-7 home loss Saturday against visiting Nevada. They fell to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the Mountain West while losing the 15 additional practices that come along with postseason play.
To make matters worse, the loss came in front of a sold-out crowd at War Memorial Stadium when Josh Allen had his jersey retired during halftime.
