INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD confirms one person is dead and another is in critical condition after they were shot on Indy's east side Thanksgiving morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3700 block of Audubon Road, near 38th and North Arlington Avenue.

When police arrived on scene, they found two people who had been shot. One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Online records show the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the same location at the same time for a residence fire.
