As we head past a calm Thanksgiving, our eyes quickly turn to the next system making its way through the Northland. For much of the day on Friday, those heaviest bands of snow will be across southern North Dakota stretching into eastern South Dakota. The system that brings this snow will continue to track southeast through the weekend.

Temperatures will be rather similar to what we have had for much of the week, with highs in the 20s through the afternoon, and the main glimpses of sunshine coming across northern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin.

While the wind will not be as blustery as the system that moved through earlier in the week, we will still have a bit of a breeze. By Friday afternoon, winds will be around 10-20 mph, which may bring areas of drifting snow where we have snow fall
