SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The family of Frederick Kiprono, the Uber driver killed in a shooting on Clyde Fant Parkway , is raising money to transport his body back to Kenya for burial.
William Songock, Kiprono’s brother, described his brother as a humble man who never complicated things with anyone.
The family has been working to raise money since Kiprono’s death, but the process has been difficult due to the Thanksgiving holiday putting a hold on certain offices they need clearance from.
“During Thanksgiving, you know, offices are closed. So it has slowed the process quite significantly in terms of getting things moving because the paperwork, I think, has to be sent to Washington, D.C., where the Kenyan embassy is for them to approve it. And, you know, they are also on holiday,” Songo
