TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is offering tips to residents with pets to ensure their companion has a safe holiday.
According to PACC, while the list of foods safe for pets is short, small amounts of plain cooked turkey, broth, rolls, mashed potatoes, unseasoned veggies, and plain pumpkin or plain pumpkin puree are acceptable.
Pet owners hosting this year should provide a calm and quiet space for their pets, such as a kennel in a bedroom or a room with a closed door, complete with their favorite bed, blanket, toy, and a water bowl.
Additionally, PACC advises discussing with visitors the importance of keeping indoor pets inside, as busy days like Thanksgiving can lead to more opportunities for pets to escape. Visitors should also respect the pet's space to a
