ChatGPT creator OpenAI has confirmed a “security incident” at third-party data analytics provider Mixpanel, potentially leaking some identifiable user data including names and email addresses.
People using ChatGPT for personal use have not been affected, the company said in a blog post . Only users with an account to access OpenAI’s API interfaces may have had their data leaked.
“This was not a breach of OpenAI’s systems,” the blog post reads. “No chat, API requests, API usage data, passwords, credentials, API keys, payment details, or government IDs were compromised or exposed.”
