FLINT, MI – When Autumn Coulter first met her daughter, it was in a hospital room.
Mora Wendel was 5 months old, a feeding tube coming out of her little body at Hurley Medical Center.
“I met her on a Friday, and I took her home on a Saturday,” Coulter said of their first encounter on July 30, 2022.
Mora weighed less than 2 pounds at the time.
“I think I fell in love with her the first time I held her,” she said.
Coulter had been licensed to adopt one child, but she noted, “They immediately moved my license to two.”
A little over a month later, on Sept. 1, 2022, Zay entered the picture.
