LOS ANGELES – A utility crew was repairing a broken water main that ruptured Thursday morning in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
The rupture occurred at 3:37 a.m. Thursday at Manchester Avenue and Hoover Street, according to a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokesperson.
Repairs were expected to be completed by 2 p.m., she said.
Manchester Avenue, from Hoover Street to Figueroa Avenue, was closed to allow the utility crew to make the necessary repairs.
