This year's series of Strictly Come Dancing is slowly drawing to a close with just four shows left, including the live final which will decide which celebrity takes home the glitterball trophy. This year's finale episode is scheduled to broadcast on Saturday, December 20 - a mere five days before Christmas Day, an early present for fans of the show.

This is later than the previous three seasons which concluded a week earlier, so fans can not only look forward to the holiday build-up but also to discover if their favourite pair has clinched the competition.

A fan account posted on X: "This year will have the latest final in a decade, coming to an end on December 20th."
