The season of giving is here, and non-profits across the metro are working to keep people safe, healthy, and warm this holiday season.

Open Door Mission has so many different ways that they are helping as the weather is cooling down and those holidays are approaching.

On Thursday, they're hosting a Thanksgiving brunch and dinner for people experiencing homelessness as a way to help them feel like they're home for the holidays.

President and CEO Candace Gregory says this year, they've been providing for more people than ever before, whether through food or through shelter.
