DALLAS — With the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw right around the corner on Dec. 5, excitement is building as fans wait to see where the three host nations — the U.S., Canada, and Mexico — will land and who they could square off against in the opening round.

This is the moment when 42 of the 48 teams already qualified get sorted into their groups for what will be the biggest World Cup ever. The last six spots won’t be filled until the playoff matches in March 2026. The tournament itself will run from June through July 2026.

The World Cup draw will take place at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and once the draw wraps, FIFA will release the complete match schedule — stadiums, dates and kickoffs — by the following day.
