Three talented pupils from a local primary school were chosen to help switch on the Christmas Lights at a Central Quay development site after winning a festive construction-themed poster drawing competition.

Over 60 pupils from St Patrick's Primary School in Anderston took part in the competition, which saw them create posters themed around construction at Christmastime.

The excited winners – Alia Akhtar, 9, Eason Wei, 8, and Katie Kelekhsashvili, 9 – joined representatives from GRAHAM construction company at the site to hit the big red button and officially switch on their Christmas lights at a special event last night (November 26).
